Memorial Day Fun

We had such a blast on Memorial Day! I think I am just now recovered:) We had a ton of friends over for some great food and fun in the sun!!! The kids had so much fun playing and swimming with each other and the adults enjoyed some much needed adult interaction! Scott and I are SO thankful for the AMAZING friends we have made here in Texas. We are truly blessed with the incredible families that we have gotten so close to. Here are some pictures of our wild and crazy day!

A Page of Pictures

Once again my friend, Melanie, took some incredible pictures of us! I could not choose they all were so great! Here are just a few to share:)

Happy 1-Month Day Grady!

Happy 1-Month Birthday Grady Steven! While we cannot believe you have been here for a month, it seems like you have been here forever! You have already blessed our lives beyond imagine! Our family feels complete with you. You are the sweetest little guy loving to be snuggled. You look at us with so much love in your eyes that it just melts our hearts! You are such a good baby not really crying unless you're hungry or have gas. You just kind of hang out doing the typical baby thing; eating, sleeping, and pooping:) You are growing and changing everyday which, while exciting and fun, makes mommy a little sad because I know how fast time flies! Each moment with you in our lives is precious! You are becoming much more alert checking everything out around you and staying awake in much longer intervals. You have even smiled here and there at mommy and daddy. You still LOVE your sleep though! You sleep in three to four hour blocks which is nice in the middle of the night! I think we are go

Creative

I must say that I have the most creative and talented friends; truly I do! I think half of my gifts at Grady's baby shower were handmade! The love that goes into these gifts is incredible! With that said, I have three friends that have decided (thankfully) to take their talents and turn them into a business. Why not make a little money doing what you love and are so talented at??? Bre has always painted. She is constantly thinking of new ways and creative ways to paint her house or the kids rooms. She painted the jeep on Jackson's wall in his room. Recently she started painting letters for her friend's babies. She painted Grady's letters and they are BEYOND adorable! Through this, Artzy Alphabets was born. You can go to her site www.artzyalphabets.com to see more of what she does and place an order. Lindsay created my blog. Her mind is always thinking of new and creative things to do! Like Bre, she too has painted and been engrossed in art for most of her life. She has

Sweetness & Other Funny Things

Yesterday Jackson continued to melt my heart. Three times yesterday Jackson said to me, "You know what mommy? I love you!" Precious. Just precious! Today as we were driving Jackson was telling me of all the things that God made & then added one thing that God definitely did not make. "God made me, and daddy, and you, and Grady. God didn't make hot ants." Lol! We have been teaching Jackson about the fire ants that we have so bad out here and he has been talking about them since. Apparently there is no way God could make "hot" ants!

Monday Musings~Full Circle

I was sitting in church on Sunday for the first time since we had Grady. I love being in church with my children. We sang all the songs I am used to singing and then a song I hadn't heard in months began: You Never Let Go. The last time I heard this song was when I was going through my last miscarriage. It was a popular song during that tumultuous time. I remember crying as a sang that song many times truly believing in all my heart that He didn't let go of me even though I was in despair. Now, here I sat with my newborn son; this little miracle. I had a flashback moment visualizing the last year and a half and all that we have been through and how He was, and is, with us every single step of the way. I felt His presence so deeply in that moment holding Grady and singing a song that has seen me through many dark moments. Now I was singing the song rejoicing. Now the Lord does not always give us what we want. However, I do know and believe that He NEVER let's go! Oh no, You

Fun Friday~My Jack

We have had a lot of rain since Grady was born. Poor Jackson has been cooped up in our house not really going anywhere or being able to play outside. Well, yesterday was beautiful and I was able to air that kid out! We played outside forever! It was great! Scott, Jack, and I played together like old times (Grady was asleep in the house). Jack and I had a laughing fit swinging on the swing together trying to catch each other to give kisses. We had the best night and I felt energized! I definitely needed that with my big boy! At the end of our fun evening Jackson created masterpieces with his chalk. Most of the chalk wound up on him. Thank goodness it was bath time! Thought I'd start with a Flashback Friday picture:) Fun with Chalk
