Wordless Wednesday~Beautiful Girls

I had the priviledge of taking some gorgeous pictures of two of my favorite girls! Happy Halloween!

The Curiosity of a 3-Year Old

Jackson has been pretty oblivious to the whole baby thing. He even went to one of my ultrasounds and thought we were just checking my belly to make sure everything was working properly. We didn't want to share the news with him until we knew the pregnancy was viable and the baby was healthy. Well, apparently there are other ways to find out mommy is pregnant other than us telling him or seeing his baby sister/brother on the screen. He and I had the following conversation while I was getting dressed a little over a week ago: Jackson: Mommy, why is your belly growing bigger? Me: (laughing and contemplating if I should tell him) Well, mommy has another baby in her belly. Jackson: What? How did another baby get in your belly? Me: God was so nice and loved us so much He gave us another baby. Jackson: Well, tell God to take it back. Me: I can't tell God to take the baby back. He already blessed us with another baby. Jackson: But I just want my Grady. Me: You'll love another baby,

Half a Year! Oh My!

My Sweet Dosers~ Six months? Where has it gone? I think you get sweeter each and every day! Mommy cannot believe that you are already 6-months old! I am madly in love with you! My heart melts every time I look into those big blue eyes and see that gummy smile of yours! You are smiley and giggly and loving and sweet. You love to be around people smiling at everyone. You only really cry when you are hungry, have a dirty diaper, or are really tired and about to fall asleep. Sometimes you whine when you can't see mommy or want to be held. Other than that, you are a darn near perfect baby. You scoot yourself around in a circle and to other various places. Rolling is what gets you where you want to go for the most part. Jackson still loves you more than words can describe. You are truly blessed to have him as a big brother and I am pretty sure you know it. He is very helpful in taking care of you and always wants to see you right when you wake up in the morning. You laugh at him a lot an

Monday Musings~Time

"Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." Psalm 46:10 I woke up this morning a little tired wondering how I was going to pass the time with my boys on a rainy day. Some days, I must admit, I look forward to the evening when Scott gets home from work and helps me tag-team taking care of the boys. Often times, I feel like I am running a never-ending race never able to catch up or cross the finish line. The days race on blending in with one another until I suddenly realize another month has slipped by without my noticing. Oh, how I wish I could stop time. Why does time have to go by so quickly? Why do our children have to grow up so fast that if we blink we just may miss a precious part of their lives? Can't we just press the pause button every once in a while so we can capture that sweet moment we will never get back? Unfortunately, we cannot. After having Grady, I quickly realized how quickly time passes. I hon

A Welcome Blessing in a Surprise

"For you created me in my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Psalm 139:13-14 A few weeks ago Scott and I got the surprise of our lives! I was home with the kids. Jack was napping while Grady and I were snuggling while I was feeding him his bottle. I had a strange feeling that something was up. I decided to take a pregnancy test not thinking the answer would be anything but negative. As the hour glass blinked on the screen, I continued to play with my baby. Then, the words appeared..."pregnant." What? No way! I think I had to look at the test a million times before I really believed what I was reading. How was this possible? I was holding my 4 month old for goodness sakes! I laughed out loud right then and there and praised God for His humor and His blessing. Scott didn't get home until late that night. I wrote, "Oops! We did it agai

The Pumpkin Patch

Oh, how I LOVE this time of year! Fall is my absolute favorite time of year! I love the cooler weather and the beautiful colors. Last Sunday we went to the pumpkin patch and had the best time! Jackson was so excited and had a blast! He was funny feeding the cows; a little apprehensive which is typically not his personality. I think their giant tongues freaked him out a bit. Jack did enjoy running through the pumpkin field picking out pumpkins for him and Grady. We also went on a hayride, ate some hot dogs, fed some sheep and goats, and went on a giant slide all in perfect Fall-like weather. We had the best family day!

Hudson

I had the priviledge of taking pictures of another one of my friend's son. Hudson was a champ! He is so stinking cute and the funniest little guy. Enjoy!
