I love...

Since today is the day of love, I thought I'd blog about something I adore and want to remember forever! Scott always gives the boys a bath. I am not sure when he started this but a while back he put lotion in Jackson's hair and told him it helps keep the bad dreams away. Now, every night, Jack puts lotion in his hair to help keep those bad dreams away. Just one of those things I don't want to forget.

Snow, Snow, & More Snow

We have had quite the winter! I cannot believe that we got over a foot of snow! The weatherman said it was going to snow but I didn't really believe them. I figured we'd get a little. Wow was I surprised to wake up to snow everywhere! It began snowing in the middle of the night and snowed all day! Jackson LOVED it! We set up a tent in the living room to have a little camp out since we can't play outside for very long. We did go out and have a mean snowball fight. We had to build a snowman and make snow angels too. Jack went for a little roll in the snow and ate a tom of the stuff! I even made him snow ice cream! All while Grady was snoozing away of course! He is not a big cold weather fan! I enjoy looking out the window at the beautiful winter wonderland! However, I am glad that we do not live where it snows constantly! Bundling myself and the kids up for the snow everyday would be a chore!

The Infamous Hair

Grady's hair has become quite the conversation piece. Everywhere I go I talk about his hair with someone. It's quite funny. I actually don't know what to do with it. It has a life of its own. He is getting a mullet in the back so I am going to have to trim it soon. I am interested to see how this mane progresses. I know that I will always remember Grady's hair when he grows up! The, "I am so over you taking pictures of me, mom" look!

All In A Name

I went to urbandictionary.com and looked up our names. Weird how fitting the definitions are! Scott's is just weird. Scott: a male friend who is extremely intelligent, funny, kind, and always there for you. They usually plan to do something to better the world like going in to the Marines or Army. Liked by a lot of people and usually very attractive Megan: A girl that is very stubborn but at the same time can be the greatest friend on the planet. She loves pizza and is absolutley gorgeous. She is loved by everybody and is hilarious! Jackson: A person of high energy and appeal. His intensity is both a blessing and a curse. His spontaneity and enthusiasm are inspiring but at times exhausting. He is easily loved and a pure joy to all who meet him. His zest for life is contagious. Grady: a person who is likely to make anyone smile do to his good looks and extreme funnines. Wyatt: Defined as "Little Warrior"...we shall see if he lives up to his name;)

9 Month Pics

I must admit that Grady's 9 month pictures were a challenge. The weather has been quite cold so I had to do something inside. It was cloudy the day I shot the pictures so my lighting was off. To top it all off, Grady is on the move and I forget that I have a belly to contend with! Lol! I tried my best! Enjoy:)

Smarty Pants & Other Ramblings

Scott and I are so proud of Jackson. It is incredible how much he has learned this year! This past week he has really gotten into spelling and reading. He can spell and write his name and spell and read mom and dad. He is an absolute sponge! Yesterday he "read" a book to Grady! So cute! This morning Jack told me he HAD to tell daddy something. He ran out the door and shouted, "Have a great day, daddy! Be a good boy at work!" I hope Scott gets a good note from his boss today! Grady-isms: Grady is one little piggy! I am going to have to start going to Costco just for him! He LOVES pancakes!!! He will eat two regular size pancakes for breakfast along with fruit and a bottle! Oh my! He is also going to be walking soon! He pushes around this rocket ship we have "walking" through the house. He is getting WAY to big WAY too fast!

Monday Musings

I was in a rut and needed a good study to get back into the swing of things with my quiet time with God. I am SO happy with the one I got! It is called "God at your wits end" by Marilyn Meberg. I am not necessarily at my "wits end" with God, but this study is incredible. I feel like I am being reminded of how good He is and what His grace truly means. Here are a couple quotes from the book/Scripture that really spoke to me. According to Merilyn Meberg, the dictionary says that "faith does not rest on logical proof or material evidence." "But were I to be condemned for my humanity, I would no longer live in the grace of God, who declares me perfect because of Jesus." Meberg "The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting." Psalm 138:8
