Grady Needs to Watch

Jackson and I sat together watching a Veggie Tales movie the other day. As we were watching Jackson told me that Grady wanted to watch too. I told him that I am sure he does. Jackson then decided that Grady couldn't see very well so he lifted my shirt. "Now Grady can see the show," he said. So funny!

Monday Musings~Easter's Over...Now What?

The eggs are dyed, fake grass is all over your living room & in other mysterious places, plastic eggs are opened and missing their mate, hollow chocolate bunnies are missing their ears, Easter dresses are stained, and pastors are still sleeping after their powerful Easter Sunday messages. As any holiday, Easter has come and gone in a flash and we are all recuperating this Monday. So, now what? I am a big holiday lover. I LOVE the traditions, sights, sounds, and smells. I love the anticipation and excitement; especially now that I have a child. However, there is something about Easter that is unlike any other holiday throughout the year. I love Easter but feel like there is just too much hype. I know. Weird. How can there be more hype about Easter than say Christmas? I guess I just feel like everyday is a celebration of the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus why put so much pressure on one weekend? And why do we feel the need to buy a million plastic eggs and candy and scare the ta...

Elijah's 2nd Birthday & Easter

Our sweet Elijah had his second birthday party on Saturday. I cannot believe he is 2 already! He had his birthday at MyGym and all the kids had an absolute blast! Of course Eli was precious! Enjoy the pictures! I was so bad on Easter not taking any pictures. We had such a busy day on Saturday with our community Easter egg hunt, Elijah birthday party, and dinner for the Bullard's party that I was wiped when I was awakened at 7am by our wonderful little 2 year old wake-up call. Scott and I were still in bed and I told Jack that the Easter bunny left him something by the fireplace. So, he went and got his basket and opened it in bed with us. Lol! We did, however, make it to church for an INCREDIBLE service! I am not big on Easter Sunday services because I feel like sometimes they are too much of a "show" or there is just way too much pressure to have the right message. This year was different. The title of the service was "Beautiful" and oh my goodness gracious, it...

Easter Preview

How do you explain to an almost three year old that Easter isn't just about bunnies and eggs? Well, I have tried all week to explain to Jack the true meaning of Easter and he listens but doesn't truly understand quite yet. However, he does know about Jesus so that's a good start. For now I will enjoy the fun activities of the holiday. Jackson LOVED dying the Easter eggs! I thought I was in for a huge mess and tons of cracked eggs but Jack did awesome! He was so amazed at how the eggs turned colors in the dye and kept saying that the eggs were beautiful. A couple days later we made bunny and egg cookies. Again, I was expecting mayhem. However, Jackson surprised me once again and we sat together nicely and decorated our cookies. He had a blast! Then, on Saturday morning, we went to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. After much waiting and anticipation, Jackson was off searching for as many eggs as he could find. It was funny because he seemed a little unsure and overwhelmed by...

Wordless Wednesday~Well, I try to make it wordless

Whoa Nelly! That is what I said when I looked at this picture! Six more weeks! How is my body going to be able to sustain me getting any bigger? Lol! I had a doctor's appointment today and all is going great! She did ask me how big Jackson was and said that Grady is definitely going to be bigger. How much bigger I do not know. He is still very active doing the alien baby thing where we can see limbs and his bottom shifting in my belly. Jackson is extremely excited for Grady's arrival continually asking for Grady to come out! We are excited to meet this little guy but also enjoying our last moments of being a family of three. I go back to the doctor in two weeks and then begin my weekly checks. Grady will be here before we know it! I am going to catch up on my sleep now!
