Oobleck Recipe

Oobleck is SUPER easy to make! Here is the recipe: 1 cup water 2 cups corn starch A couple drops of food coloring in your favorite color:) Pour the water into a bowl. Slowly add the corn starch and mix. It may be easier to mix with your hands as you add more corn starch. Oobleck is both a solid and a liquid so it won't feel "done" as you mix. Just make sure the lumps are out. Have fun:)

Wordless Wednesday~Sneak Peek Of Grady's 3 Month Pics

Oobleck

Texas is on fire lately (meaning it's REALLY HOT) so I decided that Jack and I needed a good indoor project. I was reading my Parenting magazine and was reminded of Oobleck. I made this goo in my credential program and LOVED making it with my kids when I taught. Jackson had a blast playing with this liquid/solid substance! He keep pulling his hands out of it slowly making streams of goo and asked if I could put him on the wall. He thought he was making webs like spiderman:) Thankfully for Oobleck we had a fun afternoon indoors with the air conditioner blasting!

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!! We had such a fun day!!! A bunch of our friends came over to swim, BBQ, and watch fireworks. We had a blast!!! I know I say this all the time but we truly are blessed by all of our friends out here! I had to add this family picture because I love Jack's expression! I told them ,all that we were going to have a nice family picture and pretend we love each other darnit!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

My, we have been busy! I am so far behind! I thought I'd be able to keep up with blogging after I had Grady but it really is difficult. I barely get on my computer now! We are all doing great! Scott started his new job. He's doing the exact same thing just with a better company and with more opportunity. He was home for a little over a week during the transition which was so nice!!! We loved having him home! Jackson is still Jackson. He is one crazy little boy! We love him to death! He is enjoying summer school with all his buddies (I think me and all our friends over took the school) and lots of swimming time! He has been one busy little boy! Grady is wonderful! We had about two weeks of evening fussiness but he seems to have overcome that thank goodness. He is so smiley now and fun! He smiles at Daddy now too which is a big development. I think he thought Daddy was going to take him from Mommy so he had a little separation anxiety. Lol! We are having a blast here this summer ...
