A Calling Perhaps

I have experienced a quiet little nudge for the past three months to write. It's the constant quiet voice that keeps repeating in my head and heart to write. Never in a million years did I think I could write. I always struggled with prepositional phrases and how to properly end a sentence. I often joke with my grammatically correct friend. I think I am a little jealous that she knows all the writing rules. Anyway, I digress. My heart and mind are overflowing with thoughts, feelings, dreams, and experiences that I have a burning desire to share. Life is a journey. I feel it is so much better to share life and all its intricacies with others. I am on a road of faith believing with all that I am; all that makes me up that I am led by a Savior to a destination of eternity. That road is a beautiful disaster. I am constantly being molded, stretched, pushed to my limits, full of abundant joy, experience great sorrow, scared, anxious, glad, content, unhappy, ungrateful, yet full of grac...

A Moment That Will Last a Lifetime

The boys and I hopped in the car after Jackson's Martial Arts class and headed out to get cheeseburgers. Daddy was working late so the boys and I decided to have a carpet picnic. On our way to get our gourmet meal, Jack asked me why some people pray before bed. We started discussing how we can talk to God anywhere anytime. He asked how God hears us and I let him know that God hears us because He is everywhere; He is in our hearts. In true Jackson fashion he asked, "Well, how does God get in my heart? What if He wants out?" I began talking to him about Jesus and he cut me off explaining that Jesus died on the cross so He could live in our hearts. I continued the conversation asking him if he ever accepted Jesus into his heart and if he really knew what that meant. He said no but that he wanted to. So, we discussed sin and what it means and why Jesus had to die as a sacrifice for us. As I was frantically trying to get to Whataburger so I could park and talk to him, he conti...

A Dedication

One of the most special things we get to do with our boys is dedicate them to the Lord. Scott and I truly believe that God has blessed us with the tremendous honor and responsibility of raising His children. We know we cannot raise these boys alone. We need our family, friends, pastors, and, most importantly, Him. Our Pastor, whom we love dearly, was able to dedicate both Grady and Wyatt. Wyatt was actually in my belly when we dedicated Grady ironically. The boys were amazing on stage and Wyatt got very still when Pastor John prayed over him. What a comfort in knowing the Lord is walking this journey of parenthood right alongside us. We are blessed beyond measure!

18 Months and On the Go

Grady-Dosers, Wow! You have turned into one big boy in an instant! You are walking, talking, and running your way through life! You have the biggest hands and feet I have ever seen on a toddler. Every moment with you is an adventure and we are sure to have a good laugh! You are one funny kid roaming the house looking for something to get into. You LOVE to climb on anything and everything, especially counters. Jackson is your best friend. You do everything he does and chase him around all day long. You do not call your brothers by their names, rather, Jackson is "Bubba" and Wyatt is "Baby." Daddy is a rock star to you and you still love to snuggle with me. You say a new word everyday it seems and are beginning to talk in sentences. We love you so much Grady! You make us laugh, smile, and remind us to take life by the horns and enjoy every single second!!! All Our Love Through Eternity, Daddy, Mommy, Bubba, and Baby

5 Month Cutie

Dear Wy Guy, I know it is January and you turned 5 months in October, but Mommy is having to play catch up. You and your brothers keep me quite busy. You have become one smiley little guy! You are the sweetest little thing enjoying every second of life! You are happy-go-lucky and easy going. You love your brothers; especially watching all their crazy antics. You love rice cereal and are getting the hang of solid foods. You are trying to roll over but not quite there yet. You experienced your first Halloween this month as Yoda and you slept right through it. That's okay with mommy and daddy, though. We know we'll be chasing you next year! We couldn't imagine our lives without you! Wyatt, you bring us so much joy it's incredible! Until next month...

Nothing Like A Brother

One of the most precious things about being a mom, a mom of boys in particular, is watching the bond between them grow!I love hearing the giggles between these three little guys. I am looking forward to watching them continue to grow in their relationship with one another. I am beyond blessed! They bring me so much joy! I love how happy they are! I love this picture! I flash forward to their teen years when they are doing something crazy and laughing their behinds off! Don't worry Wyatt, you'll be crazy in that tractor soon enough!

Ke-Ya

We found it! We found Jackson's niche. My nephew, Joshua, has been in Tae Kwon Do for a while now and my sister raves about it. Last time they were here she told me I should get Jack in it. I took him to a trial class and was hooked...and so was he! Jackson is INCREDIBLE! He is so focused and determined. There is a wonderful home, school, Martial Arts connection that helps Jack with confidence and discipline working towards attaining a goal. Recently, Jack tested for his yellow belt. The kid worked so hard for this belt in all capacities of his life! We are so proud of him and excited to see where this takes him! He did good towards the end enjoying the game and kicking the ball. He'd take some breaks We were WAY too hot and sweaty for soccer anyway!
