Elijah's 2nd Birthday & Easter

Our sweet Elijah had his second birthday party on Saturday. I cannot believe he is 2 already! He had his birthday at MyGym and all the kids had an absolute blast! Of course Eli was precious! Enjoy the pictures! I was so bad on Easter not taking any pictures. We had such a busy day on Saturday with our community Easter egg hunt, Elijah birthday party, and dinner for the Bullard's party that I was wiped when I was awakened at 7am by our wonderful little 2 year old wake-up call. Scott and I were still in bed and I told Jack that the Easter bunny left him something by the fireplace. So, he went and got his basket and opened it in bed with us. Lol! We did, however, make it to church for an INCREDIBLE service! I am not big on Easter Sunday services because I feel like sometimes they are too much of a "show" or there is just way too much pressure to have the right message. This year was different. The title of the service was "Beautiful" and oh my goodness gracious, it...

Easter Preview

How do you explain to an almost three year old that Easter isn't just about bunnies and eggs? Well, I have tried all week to explain to Jack the true meaning of Easter and he listens but doesn't truly understand quite yet. However, he does know about Jesus so that's a good start. For now I will enjoy the fun activities of the holiday. Jackson LOVED dying the Easter eggs! I thought I was in for a huge mess and tons of cracked eggs but Jack did awesome! He was so amazed at how the eggs turned colors in the dye and kept saying that the eggs were beautiful. A couple days later we made bunny and egg cookies. Again, I was expecting mayhem. However, Jackson surprised me once again and we sat together nicely and decorated our cookies. He had a blast! Then, on Saturday morning, we went to our neighborhood Easter egg hunt. After much waiting and anticipation, Jackson was off searching for as many eggs as he could find. It was funny because he seemed a little unsure and overwhelmed by...

Happy Halloween!

We had such a great Halloween!!! Our day began with a little Halloween arts and crafts party. We painted spiders, made leaf collages, colored Halloween pages, made pumpkin cookies, and played forever! At night we went to Mike and Bre's for a little trick-or-treating. Jackson was OUT OF HIS BODY excited!!! He LOVED going door to door saying "trick-or-treat." I don't think he even cared about his candy. He just liked the experience. After trick-or-treating we sat in the front yard passing out candy and letting the kiddos play. What a wonderful day!!! Painting their spiders Concentrating so hard! Getting his hands dirty...usually not a big fan of that but had fun with it anyway! Emily, on the other hand, would have painted her whole body if we'd let her. She LOVED it! Eli LOVED getting his hands painted! He was right in on the action! I wish I could express to you how excited this kid was to go trick-or-treating. He was freaking out in the car on the way to Gavin...
