Fish Farm and Frisco Firehouse

Just when we bgin to miss all California has to offer, we find yet another adventure. Yesterday we had the priviledge of visiting the "Fish Farm" in Canton. Canton is about an hour and a half east of us. Scott's parents purchased three and a half beautiful acres and two horses. They are planning on putting a home on the property soon. We had a blast with the horses and hanging out with Mamaw and Pa. We took a short rest after our visit and then decided to go to the Frisco Firehouse for a night of trick-or-treating. Frisco has a main firehouse including "Safety Town" which is designed for children to learn about fire and community safety. The town consists of child-sized homes and businesses in which the firehouse decorated for Halloween. Each "house" had candy and the children were able to walk through the miniature town and climb all over the firetrucks. Even though we had to wait an hour to get inside, we had a great time! Jackson, however, had to be

Pumpkin Patch

Hello all! We had another adventurous week. Jackson and I met some new friends and went to our first playdate here in Frisco. We had a blast! Jackson loves his buddies Travis and Macy that we met at MyGym. Jackson is teething (he has gotten 3 teeth in two weeks and is working on 2 more). He's hanging in there but has his moments. We also went to a great pumpkin patch in Celina which is about 20 minutes northeast of us. The pumpkin patch was terrific filled with goats, longhorns, roosters, a hayride, hot dogs, and much more. We spent almost 3 hours there. The boys ran around and loved feeding and petting all of the animals! We are doing good getting acclamated. We have had some windy fall weather that reminds me of the good old Santa Ana winds back home. We also seem to have found a church and are enjoying the new fellowship and pastor. Enjoy the new photos and as soon as our pool is done we will upload some video of the house. Blessings, Soctt, Meg, and Jack

Last Night

Nothing makes you feel like you are in Texas more than a snake and a thunderstorm. Well, we got both last night. We had the priviledge of having a visit from a baby gardener snake in our pool. Don't tell my mom...she would freak! Our pool is not quite finished, thankfully, so the snake took a slither along the inside wall. He was gone today...hopefully he drowned in our storm. That leads me to our thunderstorm. So, people have warned me about the weather in Texas and I have the California earthquake attitude of: "how bad could it be?" Well, I was proved wrong last night! We had a HUGE thunderstorm that woke me up around 12:45am (of course Scott was snoozing away next to me). The storm was quite a site and sound! Our house lit up for about an hour and the thunder was louder than anything I have ever heard! I must admit that I was ready to jump into my parents bed at certain times! Although interesting, to say the least, the storm was amazing and beautiful to watch! Thankfu

Texas State Fair and Gavin's 2nd birthday

Hello again from the Fish family! What can we say...we did not stop after our whirlwind trip to California. Instead, we celebrate Gavin's 2nd birthday (our best friends' son) and went to the Texas State Fair. The boys had a blast playing at Chuckie Cheese's for Gavin's birthday! We came, we saw, and we conquered the state fair. As many have warned us, we experienced the fair once and probably will never again. It took about 2 1/2 hours to get their and park. I'm not sure where all those people came from! The fair was at the Cotton Bowl so it was a neat experience to see that but we have all decided that we are more county fair people. It was fun people watching, however, as fairs seem to bring out some unusual folk! Enjoy the pictures of our fun weekend! Blessings, Scott, Megan, and Jackson

Trip to Sacramento

Jackson and I were blessed to visit my sister and her family in Sacramento. My mom joined us there. We had a blast playing visiting and playing with the cousins! We watched Josh's soccer game (he was awesome), went to the kids' school harvest festival, visited Apple Hill, and went to the Sacramento zoo. We had the most wonderful time with family. The best part was having all the cousins together. They so enjoyed each other even though Jackson kept bonking Allison on the head. We had a blast. It went by way to quick! We can't wait for Thanksgiving with my parents and to all be reunited again at Christmas!
