Nothing makes you feel like you are in Texas more than a snake and a thunderstorm. Well, we got both last night. We had the priviledge of having a visit from a baby gardener snake in our pool. Don't tell my mom...she would freak! Our pool is not quite finished, thankfully, so the snake took a slither along the inside wall. He was gone today...hopefully he drowned in our storm. That leads me to our thunderstorm. So, people have warned me about the weather in Texas and I have the California earthquake attitude of: "how bad could it be?" Well, I was proved wrong last night! We had a HUGE thunderstorm that woke me up around 12:45am (of course Scott was snoozing away next to me). The storm was quite a site and sound! Although interesting, to say the least, the storm was amazing and beautiful to watch! Thankfully Jackson slept through the entire thing and we did not have any flooding. What an awesome way to see God's power and glory! We are dry today but I did get my emergency kit just in case. Better safe then sorry!
