Busy, Busy, Busy!

My, we have been busy! I am so far behind! I thought I'd be able to keep up with blogging after I had Grady but it really is difficult. I barely get on my computer now!

We are all doing great! Scott started his new job. He's doing the exact same thing just with a better company and with more opportunity. He was home for a little over a week during the transition which was so nice!!! We loved having him home!

Jackson is still Jackson. He is one crazy little boy! We love him to death! He is enjoying summer school with all his buddies (I think me and all our friends over took the school) and lots of swimming time! He has been one busy little boy!

Grady is wonderful! We had about two weeks of evening fussiness but he seems to have overcome that thank goodness. He is so smiley now and fun! He smiles at Daddy now too which is a big development. I think he thought Daddy was going to take him from Mommy so he had a little separation anxiety. Lol!

We are having a blast here this summer in hot Texas enjoying being a family of four and all our friends! Below are some pictures of our fun summer so far:)

Jackson learned how to swim! He has been practicing since pool season started and did quite well. Scott really worked with him the last two weeks and now he does GREAT! He can swim from one end of the pool to other without any help! He loves it and feels so free!

Grady had his first pool experience and LOVED it! He's so relaxed in the pool!

Brandi came into town and although she got really sick, we still had a great time! I love this girl more than words!!! We always have such a great time together no matter what we are doing! And, she understands my crazy ways probably because we are just like each other! We went to the lake, hit Dallas, and explored Ft. Worth.

I had to add these pics too. Scott's a dork and kept snapping pictures when we weren't ready.

I had a mommy night out and went to the Rascal Flatts concert with some AMAZING girls!!! The concert was a blast even though we were all dripping with sweat from the humidity!

Notoriety

Teenage Mother A donkey owner Simon of Cyrene Who are these people? I am sure you can figure out the first one: Mary the mother of Jesus. Who are the others and what do all three of these people have in common? They all did extraordinary things but, for the most part, went unseen. Do you ever feel unseen? Undervalued? I do. I try not to get caught up in that space, but I find myself there too often. While Mary is infamous today, she wasn't when she brought the King into this world. She was a teenager who gave birth in a barn. She was an outcast who was pregnant but not married. She told of an unbelievable story involving an angel, a Spirit, and a Savior who was going to save the world. Could you even imagine? It's easy for us to be in awe of Mary. We know the whole story. She didn't. And neither did the people around her. She had to live it. To top it all off, she had to watch her beloved son die a gruesome death. Talk about feeling unseen and undervalued. She faithfu...

Our Miracle

"He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted." Job 9:10 "You are the God who performs miracles; You will display Your power among the peoples." Psalm 77:14 Meet our miracle...and our secret. Yes, it is true. I am pregnant; about twelve weeks and a few days to be exact. We wanted to make sure this baby was healthy before announcing how great God has been to us! We have known about this precious little blessing for a little over two months and have eagerly awaited numerous sonogram and test results. We have witnessed God's mighty, yet gentle, hand every Tuesday for the past five weeks. This baby is a fighter. However, the road is not "clear" quite yet. We met with the pareanatoligist today to do a sonogram and blood test to determine if there are any chromosomal abnormalities; specifically Downs, and Trisomy 13 and 18. Although the sonogram looked great and the doctor said we were in the "safe zone," we are stil...

Grady's Story

Grady Steven Fish 7lbs. 3oz. 19 1/2inches April 25, 2009 4:45pm SURPRISE! Actually, I think absolute shock is more appropriate! This was me a week ago...happy at 36 weeks pregnant with not much happening. I thought for sure that I had at least 2 weeks left, if not four. I did, however, frantically run around town that day getting all the things I thought I needed to get just in case. Good thing I am a little neurotic and OCD because it paid off a few days later. I have had contractions on and off since I was 25 weeks pregnant or so. I never thought anything of them because they were so sporadic and fairly painless. Friday camearound and I noticed that I was having more contractions than usual. Grady was still moving about so I didn't worry much. Around 2:30pm that day I laid down because the contractions were coming on a little stronger and closer together. I called Scott to let him know and honestly, to see when he was coming home from work. Jackson was still napping and I wasn...
