"For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
Ephesians 2:10
We work so hard to create these amazing little children. Everyday we instill good values, confidence, good decision making, good morals, etc. As parents, we work tirelessly to help our children grow up to be happy, successful, high functioning adults. I must admit that this is the most difficult job I have EVER done! However, I feel like I am creating a masterpiece in my children. I know deep down in my heart that I will look back on life when I am old and gray and see the masterpieces Scott and I have created in our children and be proud. The road to get there may be difficult and trying, but so worth every second!
If we work so extraordinarily hard to create masterpieces in our little ones, imagine how hard our Heavenly Father works to create a masterpiece in us. Just like our children, we fight and rebel not knowing how good this is for us. We don't think we are good enough or are too stubborn to change. Yet God never gives up on us. He is always twisting, changing, molding us to become His masterpiece.
Can you imagine what we would look like if we let God truly create His masterpiece in us? Why don't we let him have artistic freedom in our lives? We fight for that in our lives yet we limit Him. I cannot imagine who or what I'd be if I enabled God to work His masterpiece in me. I feel like I have missed out. I have missed on truly seeing God's glory at work in my life. My desire is to become His masterpiece. I want to radiate in His glory.
